REDMAGIC has always strived to be the very best brand in the industry since its creation in 2018. Since then, the company has crossed several milestones and drastically altered and elevated the mobile gaming industry. Let’s take a look at a timeline of how the REDMAGIC brand became one the leading gaming brands on the market today.

2018/04 – The Beginning

The world’s first gaming smartphone with a cooling system is launched by REDMAGIC.
This sets the stage for a new standard in elite gaming smartphones and gear, earning global recognition in 30+ countries and suddenly redefining what gaming excellence could mean.

2018/11 – The REDMAGIC Mars Takes Flight

The launch of the world’s first gaming smartphone with shoulder triggers.

2019/04 – Launching the REDMAGIC 3 & 3S

Introduced the industry’s first active built-in cooling fan and liquid cooling with a 90Hz refresh rate.
The innovative patent represents the first active cooling system.
The REDMAGIC 3 became the world’s first smartphone with an active cooling system that would drastically enhance thermal performance.
While other gaming phones relied on passive cooling, the REDMAGIC 3 had paired state-of-the-art liquid cooling technology with an internal turbo fan – effectively increasing heat transfer by 500% while improving comfort and boosting performance.

2020/03 – Introducing the REDMAGIC 5 Series

Launch of the world’s first gaming smartphone with a 144Hz refresh rate and IC Touch Shoulder Triggers.
The innovative IC Touch Shoulder Triggers patent is featured in the REDMAGIC 5G and revolutionizes mobile gaming with console-like tactile feedback, faster response times, and enhanced control to give gamers a competitive edge in fast-paced shooters and action games.
Starting with a 300Hz touch sampling rate, later models like the REDMAGIC 6 Pro (500Hz) and REDMAGIC 10 Pro further refined the speed, precision, and customization needed.

2022/03 – Sleek Arrival of the REDMAGIC 7 Series

We say hello to the world’s first Under-Display Camera (UDC) in a gaming smartphone.
This $76M breakthrough investment allows REDMAGIC to ditch the notch by seamlessly combining a main display and a secondary under-display screen.
Each screen had to endure a 20-step coating process and 13 advanced manufacturing techniques to be perfectly synchronized and calibrated for an undisrupted display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
While this process was time-consuming and expensive, REDMAGIC knew its worth and pushed boundaries to create something inspired and immersive for our users.

2022/07 – The Dawn of REDMAGIC PC Gaming

For the first time, REDMAGIC enters the PC gaming arena with pro-grade peripherals to elevate the gaming experience.

2023/06 - Securing Global Patents

By this time, REDMAGIC had filed around 12,658 patent applications globally, including 418 PCT international filings. We also secured 3,682 granted patents with 3,396 for inventions, 86 utility models, and 200 designs.
REDMAGIC has now established credible and reliable Research and Development areas to elevate itself and the industry at large.

2023/12 – Elevating the Game with the REDMAGIC 9 Series

REDMAGIC releases the first gaming phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and immediately sets the standard for performance and power in the smartphone gaming industry.

2024/08 – Epic Power with the REDMAGIC Titan 16 Pro Gaming Laptop

REDMAGIC launches its first gaming laptop that’s built with unibody metal mastery and combines premium durability with desktop-tier performance.

2024/09 – Say Hello to the REDMAGIC Nova Gaming Tablet

The launch of REDMAGIC’s first gaming tablet that is powered by the latest flagship chipset and optimized to seamlessly handle demanding AAA games.

2024/12 – Innovation Meets Excellence with the REDMAGIC 10 Pro

The release of the world’s first smartphone with liquid metal cooling that you would typically find in gaming laptops. This represented a revolutionary leap in thermal performance technology across the industry.
The 10 Pro uses advanced technology to transform liquid metal into a solid-state thermal conductor – creating a pioneering feature that optimizes heat management for faster heat dissipation, lower temperatures, and smoother gaming performance.

2025/02 – The Glow of the REDMAGIC 10 Pro Golden Saga Limited Edition

As a crowning achievement befitting a dazzling brand, REDMAGIC released its Golden Saga 10 Pro as the pinnacle of mobile gaming luxury with exclusive silver & gold-plated cooling – another solid first in smartphone history from REDMAGIC.
