Performance is a significant driver of success for any gaming smartphone. The power behind the build is what pushes the device’s capabilities, graphics, and response times to the next level, ultimately making you a better gamer. At REDMAGIC, we understand that a focus on performance is a focus on victory. This is why we’ve designed our 10S Pro with exceptional power, endurance, and so much more.
In this blog article, we take a closer look at how the REDMAGIC 10S Pro outperforms its toughest competitors. We explore different comparisons and testing done against top smartphone brands like Apple, Samsung, ASUS, and more. In the end, we hope to prove that the 10S Pro is the ultimate choice for your gaming needs, while still being an exceptional daily driver.
Performance, Perfected: The REDMAGIC 10S Pro
As we’ve mentioned before, a gaming smartphone needs to be performance-driven to keep up in today’s rapidly evolving industry, with demanding graphics specifications and even more demanding users. Fortunately, we thrive under pressure and have fitted the REDMAGIC 10S Pro with the best features to optimize performance, truly exemplifying the phone’s promise to be “Unstoppable. Unbeatable. Undisputed.”
The 10S Pro comes armed with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version chipset, which features Qualcomm’s next-generation custom Oryon™ CPU. Designed to elevate on-device generative AI, this chipset seamlessly handles complex multimodal AI tasks while protecting user privacy. The advanced Adreno™ GPU, NPU, and connectivity capabilities also work together to set a higher standard of performance and capabilities.
Pushing the limits, the 10S Pro also uses our upgraded AI-enabled RedCore R3 Pro chip to enhance gameplay and optimize performance more efficiently. This addition offloads gaming-specific tasks while optimizing display, cooling, battery, and performance management, which in turn allows the Snapdragon chipset to stay focused on priority power concerns.
The R3 chip also effortlessly sharpens in-game textures and enhances visual clarity, without ever straining the main processor, by incorporating an advanced super-resolution technology. This ensures 120Hz frame concurrency for several popular games and makes a 120Hz refresh rate possible through frame rate boosting and interpolation.
When compared to its older sibling, the 10 Pro, the 10S Pro easily delivers a 30% power boost. The phone’s eight-core CPU architecture also clocks up to 4.47GHz when compared to the 10 Pro’s 4.32GHz and enjoys a GPU boosted from the 10 Pro’s 1,100MHz to 1,200MHz, combined with a 40% AI performance enhancement. Naturally, the 10S Pro has been a step forward in its own backyard, but we want to see how well it plays with others as well.
Pushing the Bar Higher
The mobile gaming industry can be a pretty cut-throat place, with so many major brands all competing to push out the most innovative features and fittings ahead of the competition. However, it’s also a place to discover ways to improve and elevate your designs and priorities. At REDMAGIC, we’ve always looked at these comparisons and tests against other brands as a learning curve to success, gleaning constructive feedback where we can. Now, let’s look at some of the reviews that put the 10S Pro’s performance to the test against some heavyweight competitors.
When CNET put the 10S Pro to the test, it heartily beat our 10 Pro and the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro, which both run on the earlier edition of the Snapdragon Elite processor. The phone even went a step further to take over the $1,300 Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, all while costing hundreds of dollars less.

Likewise, for Phone Arena, the 10S Pro proved to be “blazingly fast” with day-to-day tasks as well. The publication stated that users “won't get any lag or stutter, and if you switch to a 144 Hz frame rate, the result is one of the smoothest experiences on a smartphone.”
When put to the test, the CPU scores of the 10S Pro proved to be on par with other Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphones, with the Galaxy S25 Ultra being the closest. In terms of GPU performance, the 10S Pro easily surpassed the ASUS ROG Phone 9 Pro, the ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra, and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with a 3Dmark Extreme benchmark score of 7063.

According to the publication, the great GPU performance can be attributed to the phone’s active cooling, clarifying that they’ve never felt the phone get uncomfortably hot during testing, which can't be said for the other smartphones.
TechNick also made a test video for the 10S Pro and put it up against the Samsung S25 Ultra, the Vivo X200 Ultra, the Find X8 Ultra, and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. When it came to single-core CPU performance in Geekbench testing, the 10S Pro took the lead, ahead of every phone being tested. For the 3D Mark Wildlife Extreme test, the phone once again took the lead thanks to its overclocked GPU and dedicated performance chip. Based on his findings, the REDMAGIC 10S Pro came out first in the overall testing and seriously impressed. Nick concluded that the phone kept things cooler than its predecessor, had better battery efficiency, and received higher benchmark scores.

In his gaming test video, Dame Tech put the REDMAGIC 10S Pro up against the iPhone 16 Pro Max while playing Fortnite Mobile. After roughly 20 minutes of gameplay on each device, he concluded that the 10S Pro was clearly outperforming in FPS performance. For him, the 10S Pro maintained a steady 120 FPS average 99% of the time while the iPhone 16 Pro Max averaged roughly 108 frames per second and dipped as low as 70 frames per second a few times during the match. In terms of thermal performance, the 10S Pro managed to only peak up to 40°C, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max peaked up to a whopping 47°C.

While we appreciate and encourage reviewers to test out our products, we’re not too shy to do our own tests every once in a while, as well. In a low battery test for the 10S Pro, we put our 10S Pro up against two heavyweight contenders to see how they would play a game of PUBG, starting with a 20% battery life. In the end, the 10S Pro effortlessly lasted the longest time with 1 hour, 53 minutes, and 41 seconds of gameplay, while both competitors stayed strictly below the 1 hour and 30-minute line.
